Inspired by the strength and determination of one of Geneva’s earliest settlers, Charity Herrington, women have continued to influence and improve the well-being of our city. Learn about how women in Geneva exercised their rights as citizens to shape public policy and create institutions.

Illinois Libraries Present: Exploring Space with Coralie Adam

Tuesday, March 4 • 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Coralie Adam leads the multi-mission Optical Navigation team at KinetX Aerospace, the first privately held company to provide deep space navigation and flight dynamics expertise to NASA. During her 13 years at KinetX, Coralie has had lead roles on the navigation teams for NASA’s New Horizons, OSIRIS-REx, Lucy, and OSIRIS-APEX missions. Coralie’s work enabled the first exploration of the Pluto system and the historic sample collection of near-Earth asteroid Bennu. Join us for a special virtual event with Coralie Adam hosted by Illinois Libraries Presents.

Illinois Libraries Present: 9 to 5: The Story of a Movement

Friday, March 21 • 1 p.m.

In the early 1970s, secretaries in Boston decided to fight against humiliating, harassing and illegal work environments. Their movement became national and is a largely forgotten story of U.S. twentieth century history. Join us to watch this award winning documentary on the creation of the 9 to 5 movement. This event is made possible by Illinois Libraries Present.
