Join us for an introduction to soldering for beginners. This is a two-part series. No previous experience is necessary.
This program will be presented by Leonard Bednarczyk, IPC-A-610 (Institute for Printed Circuits) certified specialist and retired Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, who will teach us all about the world of soldering. We will begin by learning a little about the history of soldering and how soldering is used. Next, with safety in mind, we will spend the rest of our time trying soldering techniques on a breadboard. Attending the first part is essential to move on to part two.
The second part of this program will take place the following week on, September 29th, from 10–11:30 a.m. in the DIY Workshop. By registering for Part One, you are also registering for Part Two.
In Part Two of the Intro to Solder series, we will assemble bots using solder. The bot can light up, run around, and backtrack when it hits an obstacle. The library will provide all supplies.
