Experience a first-person historical portrayal by Leslie Goddard based on the true story of Violet Jessop, a survivor of the sinking of the Titanic.

When HMHS Britannic sank during World War I on November 16, 1916, few survivors emerged with a toothbrush. Violet Jessop, however, had hers, remembering what she had missed after the sinking of RMS Titanic, the Britannic's sister ship, which sank on April 15, 1912. The only person to survive both sinkings, Jessop tells unforgettable stories of the terrifying disasters and gives a fascinating glimpse at life behind-the-scenes on the most glamorous luxury liner of their day. This first-person portrayal, based on Violet Jessop's memoir, Titanic Survivor, published in 1998, is written and performed by Leslie Goddard.

Trained as a historian, Leslie Goddard earned a Ph.D. from Northwestern University, specializing in U.S. history, cultural history, and women's studies. Leslie also holds both a master's and a bachelor's degree in theater and worked in the field of museum education. Her programs combine this teaching and performing experience with her background as a researcher and historian.
