Geneva Public Library District
Combined Study Rooms 4 & 5Join us for a presentation on creating safe mental spaces and environment for processing and releasing grief.
Grief is a natural response to major life changes—whether it's becoming an empty nester, losing a job, experiencing divorce or the end of a relationship, or mourning the passing of a loved one or pet. While nothing compares to the physical loss of someone dear, the emotional impact of change can be profound. In all its forms, grief signals that life as we knew it has shifted—and it deserves to be recognized and witnessed.
This program explores how to create safe mental spaces and supportive environments for processing and releasing grief. Participants will learn:
- How to identify loss, recognize trauma and honor different types of grief
- Grounding techniques for self-regulation
- Simple practices to release emotions in healthy ways
Join us for a compassionate and practical session designed to support healing and emotional resilience for National Mental Health Awareness Month.
