Appreciate the art of cinema? Join us to watch and then discuss a foreign film led by members of Geneva's International Cultural Exchange Committee (ICEC). This month's selection is I'm Still Here (Brazil). In the early 1970s, as Brazil faces the tightening grip of a military dictatorship, Eunice Paiva, a mother of five, must reinvent herself and her family when authorities abduct her husband. This moving story of the Paiva family, based on Marcelo Rubens Paiva's memoir, helped to reconstruct an important part of Brazil’s hidden history. Academy Award Winner for Best International Feature Film and Golden Globe Award Winner for Best Actress, Fernanda Torres. Released in 2024. 2hrs 15 minutes. PG-13.
