Magistrate John Hathorne recounts the hysteria, paranoia, and resulting trials that took place during the mid-17th century in Salem, Massachusetts.
Most have difficulty imagining such a chaotic time where more than 200 people were accused of practicing witchcraft in colonial Massachusetts, with 14 women and five men executed at the gallows. Eventually, the colony recognized the witch trials were a mistake, but the paranoia, hysteria, horror, and injustice of that time would never be forgotten. Join actor Terry Lynch as he portrays Magistrate John Hathorne and recounts the events that took place during the mid-17th century in Salem, Massachusetts.
Terry Lynch has been a professional actor performing on stage, T.V., film, and radio in the Chicagoland area for more than 40 years. He has also appeared regularly on the WGN Morning Show. He and his wife Laura, a certified educator, began Histories for Kids/HFK Presents over 20 years ago to bring history to life for all ages.
