Great Decisions Discussion Group: Militarizing Space (Adults)

A guided discussion about the strategic importance of space assets that have made them vulnerable targets in times of conflicts between nations.

The militarization of space is the process of actively preparing for war in outer space. It involves using space-based assets for communication, surveillance, command and control, and reconnaissance activities. Militarization has been a part of space since the first communication satellites were launched and has become more pronounced in recent years.
