Renew or Replace a Card

Residents

Bring your library card, a current photo ID, and another form of identification that verifies your current address.

The following documents containing your name and address will be accepted as verification:

  • Driver's license (if the address on the license is current this is all you need)
  • Current utility bill
  • Current property bill
  • Printed check or current bank statement
  • Real estate papers or lease

Adult applicants must be present to receive or update library card. Applicants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign their application. Geneva Public Library cards are automatically renewed every three years for cardholders living within the Library district. Residents who have turned 18 will need to register for a new library card.

Property Owners

Property owners may renew their library card with a photo ID and a current property tax bill.

Geneva Business Owners

Geneva business owners may renew their library card by bringing in a photo ID and one of the following to the Lobby Desk on the first floor:

  • Current business lease
  • Current business utility bill
  • Business checkbook

The card is good for one year from the date of issue.

Non-Residents

Non-residents of the Library District who reside within the Geneva School District may renew their card for a determined fee.

Lost Cards

Bring your photo ID and another form of identification that verifies your current address to the Lobby Desk on the first floor of the Library to recieve a replacement card.
