Clarence Goodman tells the tale of the troubled, terrible, and turbulent final months of the life of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Though lionized and canonized since his death, the final chapters of Martin Luther King's life were a different tale from the one generally accepted as gospel. Frustration, exhaustion, sabotage, abandonment, and resignation are just a handful of words that describe his career as it crept so unwittingly toward its conclusion.
Clarence Goodman, musician, historian, and radio personality, has been all over the place and all over the map. From entertaining library audiences, performing at wine bars, and giving "virtual tours" based on Chicago history to leading actual physical tours around the Windy City and hosting insightful, provocative radio programs, he has quickly earned a reputation since returning to his hometown.
