Join us as we combine computer design and fabric arts to create beautiful felt ornaments.

Join us for a creative session! We will learn how to design patterns on the computer with Silhouette Studio software, for the Silhouette Cameo cutter to cut. The Silhouette Cameo is capable of cutting many materials like vinyl, heat transfer vinyl and for this session’s project: thin felt. After the machine cuts out the felt pieces we need to put together our ornament. We will use a needle and thread to learn the blanket stitch to join our felt pieces together. You will also be able to add stuffing to your ornament to bring it to life. Felt, thread, needles, and buttons provided by the library.

You may bring ideas to try to this session. Search ‘Felt Ornament’ online to get ideas.

Basic computer skills required.
