MakerspaceLearn 3D modeling with Tinkercad and submit a model lantern through our website to be printed for free. Basic computer skills required.
Uncover the world of 3D design using Tinkercad, a free and easy-to-learn online modeling program. Patrons will be guided through the basics of creating a simple lantern design using fundamental 3D modeling concepts that can be applied to future projects. You will also submit your completed design through our very own Geneva Public Library's website, and we'll 3D print it for you at no cost, fairy lights included. Basic computer skills, including using a mouse and keyboard, are required to participate. Whether you're curious about 3D printing or looking to develop a new creative skill, this program is a great introduction to digital design.
