Meeting RoomExplore the plants that Native American tribes of the Midwest have relied on for centuries with Marcy Lautanen-Raleigh.
This program combines visuals and hands-on experience to cover medicinal, culinary, and spiritual uses of herbs and plants; growing habits and sustainable harvesting; and Anishinaabe, Ho-Chunk, and other tribal traditions. Marcy Lautanen-Raleigh started Backyard Patch Herbs to make herbs easy to use and easy to love. What began as a simple kitchen garden grew into a ¾-acre herb-filled haven where Marcy grows, dries, and hand-blends every product herself. Her mission is to help people cook with more flavor, sip better tea, and embrace a more natural lifestyle—without salt, preservatives, or mystery ingredients.
