Interested in learning how to play the Hong Kong version of Mahjong? Join us to try your hand at this popular 4-player game.

There will be 24 seats available 15 minutes before the program, and seats will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. All levels of players are welcome!

Mahjong is a tile-based game developed in the 19th century in China, which has spread worldwide since the early 20th century. Four players commonly play it with 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols. The game and its regional variants are widely played throughout East and Southeast Asia and have become popular in Western countries. We will be learning and playing the Hong Kong version of Mahjong.

In the first hour, we will become familiar with the tiles, rules, and how to set up the game. In the second hour, we usually get through 2-3 hands, allowing participants to practice what we have been taught.
