Clarence Goodman takes us on a journey through the history of African American music.

Join us for this multimedia program in which Clarence Goodman takes us on a 400-year journey, illuminating the rich tapestry of African American music. He will perform and discuss the origins of this music and explore the ways in which it unifies and endures. This program is presented in honor of African American Music History Month and Juneteenth, celebrating the emancipation of African-American slaves across the United States in 1865.
