Learn about Japan and the traditions associated with the beautiful springtime cherry blossom festivals with educator Yvonne Liu Wolf.

In Japan, Cherry Blossom Season is from early March to early May. A fascinating American tourist attraction for decades, Japan was the home of Educator Yvonne Liu Wolf where she lived and worked for several years. Yvonne will give a brief overview of Japan, its national flower, and welcome Spring the Japanese way - through the cherry blossom festivals. This presentation also includes an optional paper-cutting cherry blossom craft.

Intercultural consultant and educator Yvonne Wolf delivers presentations that clarify the elements of East Asian culture in an accessible, relatable context. She has given talks at libraries, museums, and community centers where her thoughtful consideration serves to enrich her entertaining presentations. Yvonne generously shares the knowledge and skills she has gained from her experiences living in four different countries, where she became fluent in three languages (Chinese (Mandarin), English, and Danish). She worked as a bilingual analyst in a Japanese global corporation in Denmark and a global language trainer in Japan. She has also traveled extensively in the United States. She has ten years of experience working as an organizational consultant in Los Angeles, mediating cross-cultural misunderstandings. She continues her work in the Greater Chicago area.
