Learn about the famous Elgin National Watch Company and its impact on the area as well as the nation.

As we anticipate next Sunday's switch to Daylight Saving Time, discover the history of the Elgin National Watch Company. Commonly known as the Elgin Watch Company, the company was a major watch maker from 1864 to 1968. For nearly 100 years, the company's manufacturing complex in Elgin, IL was the world's largest site dedicated to watchmaking.
