A Moment In Time: Mannerism Art Movement Workshop (Adults)
REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Thursday, May 15
3:00pm - 5:00pm
Geneva Public Library District
Combined Study Rooms 4 & 5Becka Davis Goetzinger will teach an art class on how to draw a self-portrait!
Renaissance art emphasizes proportion, balance, and ideal beauty, but Mannerism exaggerates such qualities. This often results in compositions that are asymmetrical or unnaturally elegant. Artists like Michelangelo, Raphael, and many others emerged from these ideas. During this workshop, you will learn how to draw a self-portrait in the Mannerism style.
