Get in the holiday spirit with a new take on Ebenezer Scrooge's well-known tale of personal transformation.
This presentation will analyze the background and historical impact of the iconic novella, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, and examine the lessons of Scrooge's journey from closed-hearted and cruel to repentant and redeemed. Presenters Jim Gould and Ted Hazelgrove are former faculty members of McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, IL. Jim taught philosophy for 30 years and has published numerous articles and Ted taught English for 20 years and has published poems in various journals.
