In this introductory workshop, award-winning home brewer Scott Pointon will discuss the basics of making your own craft beer.

Do you enjoy good quality craft beer? Home brewing in a fun and rewarding hobby that is enjoyed by millions of people all over the world. Award-winning home brewer Scott Pointon will discuss the equipment, ingredients, brewing process, and resources available to would-be brew masters. No alcohol will be served during this program.

Scott Pointon is the director at White Oak Public Library District with locations in Crest Hill, Lockport, and Romeoville. He brewed his first batch of beer in June 2008 and won Midwest home Brewer of the Year in 2012. He is not afraid to brew anything or tackle any new style, but his favorite beers to brew and drink are the styles that originated in England, Scotland, and Belgium.
