Join us for a live music performance by 5-time Blues Music Award nominee, Fruteland Jackson and blues artist Charlie Brown!
Fruteland Jackson is a 5-time Blues Music Award nominee and recipient of the "Keeping the Blues Alive" award. He has played and taught at the Library before in his program History of the Blues and Blues Concert with Fruteland Jackson and Matthew Skoller. In this performance Fruteland will be performing with Charlie Brown.
Charlie Brown has been performing at Chicagoland venues, including Buddy Guy’s Legends, since 1995. He has also performed at Ground Zero in both Clarksdale and Biloxi Mississippi, on King Biscuit Time in Helena, Arkansas, and in other parts of the US.
