Artists' Reception: Radiant Forms

Wednesday, July 1 • 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Kick off Disability Pride Month and join us for a reception to celebrate the artists in Radiant Forms, featuring work created in Geneva Public Library’s community outreach programs.
These programs bring art, conversation, and creative connections into the community. Each piece reflects both individual expression and the ways we connect and create together. Through pattern, repetition, and shared processes, these radiant forms reveal how something larger can take shape. We are honored to share this work with you.
The reception is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

As a chiropractic sports physician, Dr. Daniel Bucek’s extensive experience with pro baseball, soccer, volleyball, and Olympic Sports athletes provides him with unique skills and knowledge that he is able to use in his private practice. Although he treats many athletes at all levels, he also cares for many patients in his practice who are not athletes. He has a real passion for working with patients who truly want to get better.
Resources for Individuals With Low Vision

Meet representatives from the Spectrios Institute for Low Vision, who will share resources and demonstrate how everyday technology, like smartphones and apps, can be adapted to aid those with low vision.

Wednesday, July 15 • 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Memory Cafes are places for those living with memory loss, Alzheimer's, or other forms of dementia, as well as for the people who care for them.
Enjoy creative activities, games, talk with people who understand what you're going through, and have fun! Registration is recommended.
All are welcome to this monthly event. You do not need to be a Geneva cardholder to attend. For questions, reach out to the Outreach Team at outreach@gpld.org.

Adults of all abilities, along with their families and friends, are invited to join us after hours for a fun night of board, card, and video games.
Guests who are comfortable participating independently are welcome to attend on their own. If you would benefit from extra support during the event, we kindly ask that you bring a caregiver or companion to ensure you have the best experience.
Only participants need to register for this event. Caregivers do not need to be registered.
Foreign Film Sunday: Anita - Argentina

Appreciate the art of cinema? Join us to watch, then discuss a foreign film led by members of Geneva's International Cultural Exchange Committee (ICEC).
A young woman with Down syndrome lives a happy, routine life in Buenos Aires, being meticulously cared for by her mother Dora. One tragic morning, everything changes when Anita is left alone, confused and helpless after the nearby Argentine Israelite Mutual Association is bombed (the deadliest bombing in Argentina's history). As Anita wanders through the city, she learns not only to care for herself but also touches the lives of those around her. Released in 2009. Runtime 1hr 41min. Rated PG.
Level Up! - An Inclusive Video Game Night
