CELEBRATE SWEDISH DAYS WITH THE LIBRARY

Join us in honoring one of Geneva’s most beloved traditions! Since 1949, Swedish Days has brought the community together with festive fun, rich heritage, and hometown pride. Explore themed booklists, local history, and related programs—and don’t miss our special exhibit featuring Freya, the head and tail of the iconic Viking ship.

VISIT FREYA FROM THE VIKING SHIP

Make sure to stop by the library to visit Freya, the head and tail of the Viking ship that sailed from Norway to the United States for the 1893 World’s Fair. Standing over 8 feet tall, Freya is an impressive example of Scandinavian craftsmanship. Stop by the 2nd floor exhibition space to learn more about Freya’s history and see other Viking artifacts.

Freya is on loan from the Friends of the Viking Ship.
