PFLAG Geneva/Tri-Cities

PFLAG holds monthly support groups for LGBTQIA+ community members, their families, and allies, as well as education on various topics related to the LBGTQIA+ community to dispel misinformation and disinformation.

Youth Outlook

Youth Outlook seeks to support the education, professional development, and mental and physical well-being of LGBTQIA+ youth throughout Illinois. They offer drop-in centers throughout northern and central Illinois with weekly support meetings for LGBTQIA+ teens, as well as a support group for parents and caregivers of LGBTQIA+ youths.

SAGE is the nation's largest and oldest organization dedicated to advocating for and improving the quality of life of LGBTQIA+ elders. SAGE provides guides and fact sheets on topics related to LGBTQIA+ aging such as: caregiving, social security, health care, housing, and much more. They also advocate for equitable and inclusive care in long-term care facilities.

Pride Party (Entering Grades 6 - 12)

Thursday, June 12 • 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Celebrate Pride Month! We'll make rainbow cupcakes together (and then eat them). Plus, make a craft, play trivia, and browse LGBTQIA+ books.

Foreign Film Sunday: The Blue Caftan (Morocco)

Sunday, June 8 • 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Halim and Mina run a traditional caftan store in one of Morocco's oldest medinas. In order to keep up with the commands of the demanding customers, they hire Youssef. Slowly Mina realizes how much her husband is moved by the presence of the young man. Join us to watch and then discuss The Blue Caftan led by members of Geneva's International Cultural Exchange Committee (ICEC).
