The Holidays can be difficult for anyone who has experienced loss. Luisa Cicero of NAMI KDK will speak about grief and navigating the holidays.
Luisa Cicero is a social communicator and journalist; She holds a Master's in organizational communication management from the University of La Sabana, Colombia; a Master's in Creative Writing from the University of Salamanca, Spain; and has received an ILBA (International Latino Book Award) for three of her poetry books. Her poetry talks about universal topics such as human nature and mental conditions. In early 2020 she was appointed Laureate Deputy Poet for the city of Aurora, Illinois. Ponce’s poetry has been translated into English, French, Italian, and Arabic. She is a member of the board of directors of NAMI KDK, and she is a Spanish Program Coordinator for the same organization.
