Join the Geneva Learners group to discuss a predetermined topic—the topics range from local, international, and everything in between.

Geneva Learners is a world affairs discussion group that meets every Friday morning at 10 a.m. to discuss a predetermined topic—the topics range from local, international, and everything in between. The group welcomes everyone and strives for diversity of opinion and respectful discussion. Topics are usually determined 1-2 days in advance of each meeting. 

This event can be attended either in-person or through Zoom.

Topics this month include:

  • September 1st: The Current Status Electric Vehicles, with guest speakers Tracey McFadden (Vice President of the Fox Valley Electric Auto Association) & Tom Coleman (Chapter Chair and Electric Vehicle Team Leader of Climate Reality Chicago Metro)
  • September 8th: The Evolved State of the National Labor Relations Act
  • September 15th:  Guest Speaker: Nancy Hill, Community Development Director for the Village of South Elgin
  • September 22nd: Is the U.S. Headed for Another Civil War?
  • September 29th: Health Conditions & Policies: Current and Emerging Issues
