How will the United States respond to China's growing global presence?

For the past ten years, the United States and China have been competing over global influence. One major point of contention is the status of Taiwanese sovereignty, which has become even more relevant recently, with the possibility that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine may prompt China to take similar action regarding Taiwan. How will the United States engage China, which is increasingly seeking to expand its sphere of influence? - David Lampton

Great Decisions is America's largest discussion program on world affairs. The group will read the Great Decisions Briefing Book, then attend the meeting with a short video introduction and a guided discussion.

Materials will be available at the Library in advance of each discussion.

By attending one of the Library programs, you consent to be photographed or recorded. These images and recordings may be used for promotional materials such as the Library’s website, social media, and newsletters. Please inform a staff member if you do not wish to be photographed or recorded.
