Relive wonderful memories as we explore the history of Chicago's sweet bakeries with Cheryl Brown.

Take a tasty trip down memory lane with historian and Oakton College professor Cheryl Brown and reminisce about Chicago's wonderful bakeries of the past and present. Cheryl will talk about the oldest running bakery in Chicago and share the histories of national baking companies that got their start in Chicago including Maurice Lenell, Keebler, Heinneman's, Burny Bros., Sara Lee, National Biscuit Company, and more. Discover the best places to still buy mouth-watering, made-from-scratch baked goods. To make the program even sweeter, Cheryl will bring bakery treats for the audience to enjoy.
