In this dramatic portrayal, Megan Wells brings the story of Miep Gies, the Dutch woman who protected Anne Frank and her family, vividly alive.

In 1990, the prestigious humanitarian Raoul Wallenberg award was bestowed upon Miep Gies – the Dutch heroine who protected Anne Frank and her family from the Nazis in Amsterdam during World War II. Miep was the fifth person and the first woman to receive this honor.  Join us as national award-winning writer and historical impersonator, Megan Wells, brings Miep’s story vividly alive in this dramatic portrayal.  This engaging hour ends with a Q & A conversation.

This program is in commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day, April 28. More information may be found at United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
