Lobby GalleryCelebrate artist Elisa Boughner and her exhibit Sentiment of Joy.
Join us for a reception honoring artist Elisa Boughner and her exhibit Sentiment of Joy. In her words, Boughner's vibrant paintings and 3-dimensional works seek "to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them, to discover beauty in the imperfect and design in everything we see."
Boughner was born in the United States, raised in Mexico and studied art in America and Europe. She fell in love with color and patterns while growing up in Mexico City, where her father had been transferred when she was young. Growing up surrounded by the bright, colorful life of the Mexican culture, the way the houses were painted, the bright clothing and the wonderful handmade rugs and textiles, had a tremendous impact on her.
This reception is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
