Join local author Anitra Rowe Schulte as she introduces Starlin: Picture Day Drama and Starlin: Concert Queen and shares the inspiration behind her newest character. Through stories and conversation, young readers will discover Starlin's world and learn how books can help us understand ourselves and others.

Starlin is a creative, determined young girl who uses AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) to communicate, bringing important disability representation to the chapter bookshelf. Whether you're a fan of chapter books, aspiring to be an author, or simply love great stories, this special event is sure to inspire. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, hear from the author, and celebrate the joy of reading together.
