Project of the Month: Sew a Drawstring Bag (Adults)

Appointments available between August 1 and August 29

Come try this sewing project for beginners. Register for an appointment to learn how to use the library's sewing machine and available sewing tools. We will guide you through how to set up the sewing machine and prepare your fabric for sewing. Sign up for an appointment today!

The Project of the Month appointment-based programs are available for GPLD cardholders only. One appointment per person per month. Materials and guidance provided by the library.

Introduction to Walk2Run (Adults)

Monday, August 4 • 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Please join us for a presentation hosted by Glen Kamps, Wellness Ambassador from Dick Pond Athletics. Walk2Run is a free wellness program that has been offered in the St. Charles location for the past 14 years. Participants of the program have lost weight, lowered blood pressure and have been able to wean off certain medications.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll have the chance to make your supplies as unique as you are – from decorated notebooks to custom pencil cases, and everything in between. You'll learn how to access the Control Center, how to use the various features and options, and how to customize it to suit your needs.
