In honor of National Poetry Month, indulge in sweet treats and learn about different cultures through poetry!
In this delicious and fun program in honor of National Poetry Month, we will indulge in sweet treats and learn about different cultures through poetry with Stavroula Harissis. Participants will sample pastries from four different countries, read and discuss poems by international poets, and write a poem of their own.
Stavroula Harissis is a multilingual poet and librarian with a passion for international travel. Her poetry has been published in The Journal of Ordinary Thought and featured on WBEZ Chicago. She has worked in public libraries since 2016 and is currently the South Branch Manager at Mount Prospect Public Library.
