Cybersecurity Awareness month is October! Let's learn how to conduct routine maintenance to keep devices up-to-date and protected from cyber threats.

Cybercrime increased significantly in 2021 with companies paying over $4 million in ransom to hackers.

In this program, you'll...

• Identify common and rare cyber threats, including various types of malware and phishing scams
• Discover how to use antivirus (AV) software
• Learn how to remove temporary system files and how to uninstall bloatware
• Complete a series of quizzes to determine your level of understanding

This program focuses on Windows 10 & 11, but we will briefly explore macOS, Android, & iOS.

PREREQUISITE: Patrons need a basic understanding of Windows OS, including how to use a keyboard and mouse. No library card is needed for registration.

RECOMMENDATION: Bring your laptop and smartphone from home or use one of our PCs running Windows OS.
