Teen Volunteering

The library has several options for earning your volunteer hours. Find one that fits your schedule, or contact us to find something that will work for you!

Teen Advisory Board

This is your chance to have a voice in teen services at the library! The Teen Advisory Board meets on the first Thursday of every month at 4 p.m. to plan programs, discuss volunteer opportunities in the community, help shape the collection, and the tell the library what you want to see there. Every meeting is worth a GIVE hour, with the chance to earn extra hours for any additional projects we decide to take on.

Volunteens

The Volunteens program is offered year-round, with some special opportunities this summer. We have four different crews teens can apply to, varying from program helpers to master decorators, and even opportunities to encourage children on their quest to Summer Reading completion! Hours are variable depending on crew selection, and details are included on the application.  Contact teenvolunteers@gpld.org for more information.
